Hi all, new here.
My main issue now with bipolar is that I'm ok during the day for the most part, but after around 7 or 8 I start getting really depressed. I'm on 400 mg of lamictal and 25 of paxil cr which seems to work ok. It gets really bad sometimes though. And I have insomnia. I tried seroquel before but I started sleeping through fire alarms and such so I don't think that's an option. I'm bringing it up with my psych but I don't have an appt available for like a year so it's going to be a while. |

Evening tends to be a bad time for a lot of people. The day is winding down, you are trying to settle and go to sleep, but everything just has to pop up when you calmed your mind down. I haven't found a solution but maybe if you keep everything that same. Have a schedule for the evening and see if that helps?

I have been doing evening meditation for about a year and it really helps. It was awkward at first but now it's as if I've programmed myself. I light some incense, and listen to either a guided meditation practice, or I listen to something like Tibetan bells and use one of the practices I've learned. It helps me focus on something other than the bad stuff and helps me relax and fall asleep.
