What makes you nervous?

Are you saying you're taking it and it's causing you to be nervous?

I was prescribed it once before my bp dx and ong I got so much done and my heart was going crazy!

Adderall is not good for bipolar because it can easily trigger mania. There is a nonstimulant ADHD med called Strattera. However, my brother got manic even on that. Might work tho.
Thanks for this!

Not necessarily. I have BP, take adderall for ADD, and it doesn't send me manic-y. It's like so many things-- it depends on the individual. What works great for one person may be a disaster for another, and for yet another, may have no effect.

I think the adderall may exacerbate the mania. I am seeing that happen in my wife and it is very impressive. So beware I suppose

My new pdoc told me if I was ever diagnosed ADHD to never take adderall because it would cause mania. I told him my old pdoc gave me some before to get me out of a depression and I went mania big time. Just my experience. I hope everything works out for you. Having more than one MI is so difficult to manage at times.
