I'm absolutely terrified of the dark. I always sleep with a light in. If I don't I'm completely cacooned in my comforture. I mean cacooned! I always think something is in the room with me. I can't even sit in my living room with the lights off and the tv on. If I'm in the shower and my eyes are closed I start panicking. Again thinking something is on the other side of the curtain or behind me in the shower staring at me. What does this mean?

I would take to your T about it.

I'm afraid of the dark also. Over the years, I've become less afraid, but I'm still afraid and I do the same thing in the shower sometimes. Other times, I shower without freaking out. It's very strange.

I'm sorry you are having this distressing problem. I do understand. (((Hugs)))

Not sure what it means but I'm afraid of the dark also. Not as much as you, but I keep night lights on. Pitch black scares me. It's not so much the darkness, but how vulnerable I am to attack in the darkness.
