My UK Wildcats won and are on the way to the Final Four! All the way, baby!

In other news....does anyone do a gratitude journal? I started one. At night when I do my diary cards for DBT group, I make a daily list of things I am thankful for. I haven't set a limit so I wont be discouraged on bad days. I find its helpful.

Anyone else do this?

Congrats on the Wildcats!!

I have recently started DBT, so far good. Did you learn that skill; gratitude journal; in DBT. Great idea..to reflect on the day.

Good for you to do your homework!!!

No I didn't actually. I saw a pretty notebook with flowers and the quote:

"There Are Always Flowers For Those Who Want To See Them."-Henri Matisse

And I thought it was positive and pretty and all. So I got it and Ive held onto it...and then decided that's what Id do with it! I *just* started DBT and we haven't learned skills yet. Next week we start. Ive been doing the diary cards already because my T gave them to me to start...we have to do weekly therapy while we're in group. (I already was.)

Im excited but still a bit nervous because its a huge commitment and the contract we signed is pretty detailed. Its over 16 weeks of class, once a week and we can only miss 4 and we will be dismissed. If we miss a group we have to make amends to our fellow members and also explain why we missed. Pretty deep....

I did a gratitude journal as an assignment for a psych class once and I found it really helpful for noticing and taking pleasure in good things that happen throughout the day. Maybe I should start back up.

I was required to keep a gratitude journal the first time I was in treatment for my eating disorder. It helped.
