I know that increased energy and decreased need for sleep are the common traits for hypomania and mania, but has anybody else experienced low energy, drowsiness, or increased exhaustion and sleep when (hypo)manic? Or perhaps just a normal/neutral level of all of the above?

My hypos are weird. My mental energy is at an epic high (with very little sleep in between) but my physical energy usually hovers rather low (not as low as depression though) . I attribute this to how long my lows are (months at a time) , and how badly they keep me drained. My longest hypo was a week or so (that was the last one at least, and still unsure if it was part of a cocktail change) , when my depression is usually my "go to" state.

Never increased sleep with my hypos though, just everything that comes with hypo and being tired.

I am currently experiencing extreme agitation and racing thoughts but sleep 9 hours a night and am tired during the day. I do take Zyprexa or Seroquel to sleep though so I am not sure how much sleep I would get without them. I think it is like a mild mixed state. Mild depression plus hypomania.
