I don't understand y I need to go to the hospital if I am not suicidal.. Doc say to get stabelized on meds..but ain't that what I am doing outpatiently? And she want my mom to come to next visit..is there something I am not undetstandinh here???

(((irritable for life))) Did you ask the doctor this question? Perhaps doctor wants you to be monitored while you get adjusted to your new medications. Sometimes people have bad reactions to certain medications....she just wants you to be safe. You don't necessarily have to be suicidal for them to want you in patient. Go and be safe....

I am sorry that this has left you a little bit confused.

I really do not want to say anything that is going to go against what your current, professional treating Doctor is suggesting.

Please speak to your Doctor about this in order to gain more clarity.

As to what the intent or reasoning is; for your Doctor to admit you; I am unsure.

You have stated it is to stabilise you.

Sure.

This may be the case.

A hospital may be a safe environment for you to accomplish this important step towards your mental health wellness.
