Do they both run hand in hand. Over the past week I suspected I have been manic. Been on spending sprees, more active, speech is faster, and im not as depressed. I've also been more irritable. Over past few days I've been sleeping less. I kept bedtime and awake time the same although I haven't been able to fall asleep. I've averaged 7-8 hours and last night had 4 but I was able to function with some irritability. Any experience?

When I'm manic and try to sleep, no matter if I sleep 1 hour or 6- I am a force to be reckoned with upon rising. Also if I've been up for over 48 hours my happiness fades into anger. It's a rotten feeling, I feel for you. Good luck, I hope sleep and peace find you soon!

Yes.

As mania increases - sleep decreases.
