I've gone from job to job and recently I just quit in the middle of the day because I was working in factory and I couldn't take it mentally. I was having anxiety all day. How does someone with bipolar hold down a job? Any tips?

Push through the anxiety. I'm anxious every day at my job.

(But I understand some people can't do that. I work regardless of how I feel. I have to. We need the money.)

I'm asking myself the same question. I left my career of being a teacher for almost 8 years and now I'm a nanny with unsteady hours. I couldn't handle the anxiety and wonder where do I go from here. I'm smart with 2 degrees under my belt but what good is that when depression and anxiety paralyze me with fear. I can't work through that, I freeze up and just want to run.
Right now I feel stuck, I'm so unsure of what to do with myself and I hate more than anything the uncertainty of it all. Sorry I can't help you, but at least know you're not the only one.

I'm so anxious when I'm working. I have been unemployed a lot of time and now I'm working in and office.
I miss a lot my old works, when there was kind coworker and I love the jobs.
Here I am uncomfortable, my job is always questioned by boss and coworker and that makes me feel insecure.

For me, I try to de-emphasize work and prep myself outside of my job by meditating. Being mindful at work also helps but that can be hard in a chaotic environment.

De-emphasis is key for me. Everywhere we go in society, we're conditioned to think we need to jump through hoops for the boss, work hard to get ahead, make money, be successful, own this, own that, etc. All of that made me paranoid over the years and it eats me up now and then. But these days, I'm thinking just the opposite and becoming more of a minimalist to clear away the clutter.
Thanks for this!

I wish I had some helpful advice for you, but I had to go on Social Security because I CAN'T work. I was a nurse and the anxiety and brain fog made me unsafe to hold lives in my (shaky) hands. I got out before I made a mistake that could kill somebody.

I hope things work out better for you than they did for me. ((((HUGS))))
