Have taken one pill last night and a horrible experience, like geodon but all night. mind was racing but body was dead and unwilling to respond. Felt trapped and scared. Is this normal with this drug, does it lessen over time.. It did not even do it's stated job.. I slept less than 4 hours..

Anyone that has taken this med please share your story.... Ty

I was on that once. Only took it one night. It was supposed to help me sleep but didn't do anything, other than make me a little high feeling. Did not help me sleep. If anything, it did the opposite.

On day 3 it flung me into one of the worst mixed episodes of my life.. Took me almost 5 weeks to pull myself out of it.

Never never again!

Sounds like you need to speak with your MD. Although literature states that many of the side effects of doxepin go away as your body adjusts to the medication, your side effects sound pretty severe (and not fun!). Good Luck.
