I think I have bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed with depression in January by a gp, but I don't think it's right. I'm going insane right now, and I don't want to end up in a hospital. Where can I go to get decent treatment/therapy? Where did you all start? Anything would be helpful...

I started with a referral to a psychiatrist. Then at some point added a therapist.

Best wishes, Gayle

I would start with seeing a psychiatrist (people call them pdoc on here) and get a professional opinion. Theyre more trained to deal with things like depression and bipolar than a GP is.

Hope things get better for you! Welcome to PC!
