If an office accepts medicaid but only one of the therapists does not accept it (medicare only), can that one therapist make an exception and accept a medicaid client if she so chooses? I hope so and I hope she agrees to accept me.

I don't know and don't know if it varies state to state or by office policy, but it sounds like it might not be too long before you find out -- good luck!

It depends. Most places any employee is authorized to be a provider for any payor source that exists. Medicare accepting therapists are unusual and they are probably keeping her only doing that because they need a full-time Medicare person. But I would bet she's a Medicaid provider as well. I hope she takes you.

Happy birthday (almost!).
