Is this a Bipolar thing?
I buy stuff then I'm like I don't need this stuff,, then sell stuff, then miss having it and rebuy the same crap. |

I don't do that and I am not a "keeper" of things but I do tend to get in my head "I need to buy say Pam spray" and then I buy it the next 4 times I'm at the store so I buy lifetime supplies of things. Right now I'm stocked for years on brown sugar and canned tomato products. At one point I had 4 cans of Pam spray.
Mania only increases this.

I re buy things over and over because stuff has a habit of just disappearing. I'm suspecting that Trasher has a lot to do with this :/

I personally don't do that. I hate shopping and buying stuff.
BUT my husband who doesn't have bipolar does that a lot. Lol. So it can't be just a bipolar thing.

I have over spent myself so many times in the past, My credit is just a smoldering train wreck.
The last 15 years? Not a problem at all. We live credit card free, We own our home and vehicles out right. I/we only buy what we can afford and pay cash for. The one guilty pleasure I have is buying 4-6 nail polishes a month.. That is the extent of my Bipolar retail therapy. It helps that I can not stand clutter of any kind. I feel literally sick if I see things laying around that don't have a real use for. *it has taken me a long time to be okay with not having mass shopping sprees.

I just buy things and don't sell them, even if they turn out not to work for me. Like I bought a battery for my old laptop and it didn't fit and I was too lazy to bother with posting it back and getting a refund. I also just bought some pedometer bands that are way too small because I forgot to change the size when I ordered them and ended up with petite size, and I probably won't return those either. I'm going to try to get up the oomph to return them though. The packaging is still pretty much fine and I didn't wear them obviously.
I often buy things, get home, and think, why the heck did I buy THIS?! and immediately regret getting it. But I'm not much of a seller.

In the few cases of pure mania that I have had, I did buy an awful lot of stuff that there was no way I was going to need. Like 300 bars of soap.
