I've dealt with horrible depression for over a year, and my pdoc won't prescribe antidepressants for my bipolar 2 so U had to take matters into my own hands. I've been taking it for the past 5 weeks and it is helping me feel like my good old self. Its said it doesn't help for major depression but Germany prescribes it for major depression and it works great. My last great hit was Zoloft over a yr ago. But this is working great too. At first st johns wort gave me dizziness but that has gone away. The only thing that aucks is I get overheated in the sun very quickly and I was at an amusement park with a friend and had to keep going in the shade. Overall, great experience. Anyone else have a good experience with St Johns Wort? BTW I would probably take it if I had been allowed to be on Zoloft.

Yeah I remember wanting to go on that at one stage.
But my pdoc told me not to because it interferred with one of the meds that I was on at the time. Good luck with it! |

I haven't tried St. John's Wart but I take a supplement called 5HTP which has helped a lot with my depression but I have to be careful with the amount. If I take too much I tend to get irritable.
