well lets see, I was waking two or three times a night .. averaging 1.5 to 3 hours at a time totaling around 6 hours in all ... now ( for reasons unknown) I am sleeping 5 hours straight with no waking ... success you say ... except I am more tired now than ever before ... I am sleepy during the day and if I stop moving I fall asleep ... even with these "naps" during the day and my five hours at night I am nodding off all day ... and have had some impaired driving ... suggestions what to do ...

Still doesn't seem like enough sleep. Your body's probably telling you as much.

Sorry you are having issues with energy levels .....

Dunno what quite to suggest that you weren't already doing .....

Healthy eating plan .... moderate exercise .... regular wake / sleep schedule ....

Hang in there!

Since I live in Insomnia land and have since I was 12. A couple times a year my body finally has had enough and I will have a couple weeks where literally I have dozed off in the middle of a sentence or standing.

I have had lots of tests done and seen many doctors through the years no one really had a much of an idea, they just ruled out things that could kill me basically.

What I have determined is that eventually people who don't sleep well just give out and the brain is exhausted from being on full working mode day in and day out that it just basically knock you on my backside and you will sleep whether you want to or not.

I agree with Chris, I had the same experiences.

For the past 5 years or so, I would be narcoleptic every 3 months... I would pass out mid convo, fully dressed, you name it. I would just be lights out.

Since I've tweaked my schedule and incorporated a lazy day once a week, I have rarely had that problem, and when I do, I actually get a warning, I don't just pass out.
