Saphris is helping my mental state but it makes be sleepy and my body slow during the day. Also after I take it, I have to sleep atleast 8 hours of sleep or I'm disoriented . I can't get up during those hours either it really lays me out

I found that the side effects do lessen with time. I'm on 10mg and I have to go to bed as soon as I take it, but after 8 hours sleep I find that I'm awake and alert.

i take 10 mg in the am and 10 mg in the pm. really makes me tired. Sleep about 10 hrs at night and another 2-3 during the day if I don't take my provigil.

I'll be upfront and honest and say saphris never worked for me for the exact reason that you described ..... it just made me foggy all day ..... for weeks ..... I couldn't do it.

[footnote: I do know some that take it and they're fine on it, guess we're all different, I wasn't one of the lucky few]

I take 5mg morning and 5 mg at night. I function very well on it most times. It did used to make me drowsy, but i have been on it for almost 3 months and am fine.
