Doc changed me from 20 to 40. The first two nights were fine but now I'm laying here and feel like I could go run 10 miles. Would this be normal to feel the change a few days after ? Ugh I have to be up in 3 hours and this isn't looking pretty.

Some meds have had a quick change on me like that, yes.
Your pdoc may have some strategies to suggest to you to alleviate these symptoms (hopefully) .... |

Just wondering if you went to sleep after taking latuda and then woke up? That's what is happening to me and our meds are really alot alike and I just went from 20mg latuda to 40 myself. My meds are buspar 90 mg., ativan 2mg. 3x a day, brintillix 20mg., ritalin 20mg. 2x a day, and the latuda. I have just been on the latuda and brintillix for a couple of months. I have also put on about 10 or more pounds since starting the latuda. Have you noticed any weight gain? (just starting treatment for bipolar 2)

When I was changed from 40mg to 60mg of Latuda, I went into a medication induced hypomania. I think that a slightly high dose can cause too much energy. You may need to decrease the dose.

Been on 40mg of latuda for 9 months.. No weight gain issues.. Really no side effects that I've noticed. I take seroquel at night though or yes I'd be up for days and get into a mess

Just a quick note to say I too have been upgraded from 20 mg to 40 mg Latuda after dinner. It's made me neither sleepy nor hyper-awake. But then I take benzos to help me get to sleep.
After a month I'm inclined to say it's a pretty benign med. (No weight issues either.) And, it's the first thing that's worked for my bipolar depression. |
