Everything is going ok , even good , getting stuff done and such , health is good , I can't put my finger on it .... but I feel funny , not funny haha but butterflies , I feel like the sky is going to fall on me , a real sense of impending doom , ... scared even ... this is not paranoia , I don't feel anyone is out to get me , just this overarching fear .... meds have not changed for a while , no issues with the family ... no real clue where this is coming from or how to make it go away .... any ideas ... any suggestions ...

When I feel okay, it's in my nature to kind of question how long this may last, probably because I know I cycle and I invariably land up and down within no given time frame.
It's probably just some kind of intrustive thought playing itself out at the back of your mind. If there's no reason for it in your environment and there are no factors that you can think of at present that would cause a shift ... Perhaps let the thought go for the time being .... |

I've had hypomanias that felt like that before. Always mixed and always dysphoric so the slightest hint of hypomania feels like doom but I've felt just "off" and not right before just as something has started. So I know that feeling means to start watching.
If your hypomanias aren't things to dread then that may not be true. But is there any chance this is how your body is suggesting something is changing? I hope not. __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, OCD. Sounds like good old fashioned severe anxiety. For me it is horrible and most often inexplicable. Is it always with you now? Do you have any benzos or anti-anxiety meds available? Believe it or not, I handle severe anxiety with sex or masterbation. If that isn't possible, I try to leave the situation and give myself a pep talk or try deep breathing. Meditation may also help. Sleep also helps sometimes. I would certainly discuss this with your pdoc because there are meds that can help.

It really does sound like anxiety to me. When I explain to people what my anxiety feels like "impending doom" "scared" etc come up a lot. In my experience bus part is not an effective anxiety medication. I pads meds as part of my caregiving job and I've never seen buspar help anyone, especially not acute or severe anxiety.

I get that feeling often and sometimes wake up with it (did this morning). I get lurches of fear/dread out of the blue. And often have impending doom whether I'm up or down. It sucks. I've always attributed that to my GAD.

I was feeling like this just a few minutes ago. I didn't know what to do so I tried a cold shower, surprisingly it helped quite a bit. I don't know how long the relaxed feeling will last though since I have never tried a shower before.

When I have those butterflies (or rather vultures) in my stomach and its not coming from a good place, yip, its my anxiety level rising.
Its terrible, its so uncomfy and idk, it just feels yucky. And I hardly get the impending doom thing, as I have mainly physical symptoms, but I have experienced it a few times. Sounds like your buspar has pooped out. __________________ DXD BP1, BPD & OCPD "The best way to make it through with hearts and wrists in tact, is to realise, two out of three aint bad" FOB... |
