Im home!!!

It was a long 12 days to be at the crisis unit! The pdoc there wanted me to stay til tomorrow but agreed I could leave today because while I still am having thoughts sometimes...I have no intent or true desire to die. The staff was overwhelmed with two intakes and asked if I would please spend the night but my granny needs me to take her to the dr tomorrow so they went ahead and discharged me.

My only real concern is I am dog sitting for my cousin later this week and Ill be two houses away where my aunt has her gun. When the staff called her to move and secure any and all fire arms she told them they were all in a locked box but she didn't tell them about that one (she even told me so in the car.)

Im in a entirely different place than I was 2 weeks ago so I think Im fine but I don't want the temptation. I still have passing thoughts, intrusive ones. But I think I was ready to come home.

Thanks for all the love and support. The stay at the CSU is typically 5-7 days and I was there for 12. Felt like forever! When you start to feel comfortable IP...its usualy a sign that youre ready to go.

I'm glad that you're home, Hallie. I'll bet your kitty is glad to see you (unless she is one of those pouting cats.)

I wish that your aunt would cooperate and lock up ALL her guns.

How's your weather? Summer is giving signs here that it's starting to think about leaving.

I'm glad you went, clearly you needed it if they kept you so long. I hoped it helped.

Okay, it's still hot here, too. It's just that there's a hint of fall on the breeze.
