Institution records are apparently really hard to access. My great-great uncle or something like that grew up in an institution for the blind and they will tell us nothing about his records. He wound up being a gifted pianist who played on river boats on the Ohio River but nothing is known of his life before that and to my knowledge after that.

Strong family history on my fathers side of the family. Nothing (that anyone has heard of at least) on my mothers side of the family. And I am very grateful that I live today and not at any time else! Some people talk about everything being better before... don`t agree much there!
