Have you ever felt like there's something on your mind, something troubling you, that you don't know how to identify exactly nor put into words?

Yes. This happens frequently and it usually causes great anxiety. In fact, the general problem is usually rooted in anxiety.

That makes sense that anxiety is the root cause. I have GAD and my stomach always has butterflies in it, so that I can feel it to the tips of my fingertips when I get anxious, which is all day usually.

This happens to me constantly although it has improved somewhat since my Risperidone was increased. Now my brain runs a lttle slower instead of the racing thoughts so I have the time to figure out what's wrong. It still does get me sometimes and I absolutely hate the feeling and I usually take an extra Ativan to finally calm down.

It's like something is eating at me. I've gone through years of counseling and I still feel like I haven't resolved something big in my life. Worst is, I don't know what that big thing is.

My Klonopin helps me. I sleep alright, but morning is really tough.

Risperdal stopped me from hearing voices, stopped me from seeing spiders, stopped psychotic breaks, and reduced how much I talk to myself. I take 6 mg.

It is, you're right. But I'd rather look at things this way:

a troubled mind is the root and generalized anxiety is the label

instead of

generalized anxiety being the root so that you have a troubled mind.

It's like which came first, the chicken or the egg? I believe GAD is just a label and not a condition in and of itself. It's what we use to call a troubled mind.

I think this a common problem for many people not just bipolar people. I have talked to lots of people who have said "It feels like something is missing in my life." However I do think these thoughts are increased in people bipolar, anxiety, etc.

I have only had this since my last mixed episode which started in February. I never knew what GAD was before then. It started when I went off my meds and it has never gone away since.
