My symptoms are getting bad again, same old pattern that lands me eventually in the psych ward... but I'm getting tired of them not wanting to change my meds! All they have been doing for a long time is changing the dose of what I am already on. That might help for a couple months, then it's back to the same pattern yet again. They told me if I land in the hospital again I'm going to a group home, but I will go there again if they don't try any new medicine!!! Very frustrated do I like demand that they try something new?

I would assertively let your pdoc know that the dosage changes have not given you any improvement and that it is time to try a med change. If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten. Right? I think that your analysis of the situation is very reasonable and you should be listened to. It is your body and your treatment. Your input should be listened to!! Hang in there!

Absolutely! Your PD should be assessing such things. You need to be waned off the first medication, though. Have you suggested this before?

I'm very sensitive to side effects and I think that is why they are so hesitant to add meds. The last med change they did the med worked really well (latuda) but I developed a severe shake in my arm. They added cogentin but cogentin clouds my head too much. I even had a med that caused me to stop speaking. But one med I'm on, Lithium, causes problems but they won't change it no matter how much I ask and it's a double standard.
