Saphris... It caused enough breathing problems that I had to go to an ER. So one dose was enough.. Oh and Black Cherry flavor? I think not

It gave me such bad panic attacks through the night that I couldn't sleep. After a week of that, I quit.

I have been on saphris twice. hated the fact that it needed to absorb underneath the tongue..even the black cherry flavor couldn't mask the nasty taste of the med. it made me very tired, so i had to take it only at night. essentially, it didn't work for me, but i had to try it out for a few weeks just to see if it would. probably worth a try, but please monitor side effects closely.

It worked for stabilizing me, but then I stayed on it for a long time after, and it flattened my emotions too much. So i came off it. The withdrawal was hard, and lasted a couple weeks. It was no sleep, anxiety, and nausea. I'm glad I stopped it, because i feel better, but it did help when i was really unwell and nothing else was working. Plus no weight gain. One tip is to take it with a tic tac. Just put the tic tac under your tongue with the tablet. It helps a lot. Good luck!

Thanks guys that was helpful. Maybe I should start a different thread for this but I have found that AP are good for snapping me out of an episode but are tough to tolerate long term
