Ever since the doc added Wellbutrin I've had my mood elevated. I want to do things and not stay home. I've even managed getting out of bed, but here is the kicker I've been averaging 5 hours of sleep and I'm good to go. I've been trying to go back to sleep but am just wide awake. Now I don't think I'm full blown manic, I've haven't done anything risky, spent money or been agitated.

Is it simply I just don't want to sleep?

Wellbutrin is known to be activating in some people. Monitor yourself to be sure that you aren't becoming manic...the drug can cause rage, agitation, and irritability. It's a good med for many people, but for some it can be disastrous. Best of luck.

I've never had a manic episode in which I've done anything risky, normally I just can't stop thinking and am unable to sleep. I would bring it up with your doctor just to be safe, 5 hours of sleep is not enough to function on regularly, even if you feel fine.
