Hi All !
Just to put the record straigtht

I am not claiming to have cured bipolar. I have just controlled symptoms that have mimicked mental illness.

I was diagnosed as bipolar 2 on a twenty minute appointment with a psychiatrist , he diagnosed me on one area that I was all over the place
The DSM states that you have to meet 3 criteria to be diagnosed Bipolar.
This never happened !.
Only looking back I can now see why I was having psychosis and symptoms that mimicked Bipolar 2. I was consuming A loaf of white bread with butter
a day which I now found out I am intolerant to.
My stomach lining was in a total mess because I was allergic to wheat/gluten
I was not getting any nutrients to my brain and so the symptoms of
mental illness were present.
Now I have discovered this and many other questions I will talk to a psychiatrist and see what he says..

Food intolerance masquerading as mental illness

I am now so high on life it almost feels like I am slightly Hypomanic
but there are some differences between the two states.

I am not anxious or pressurised I am not flying around like a headless
chicken Yes I feel alive probably due to me taking SAM-e which stimulates your Dopamine levels.

A WORD OF WARNING those with bipolar should not take SAM-e as this can cause hypomania and Mania.

As I never had Bipolar2 in the first place I can now get away with taking it.

I did an unusual experiment just recently .

I took SAM-e 400mg for seven days and went Hypomanic for ten days
I LOVED IT ! when I came down I started my new diet no wheat/gluten
I then started taking SAM-e again to see what happened

NO MANIA !

If you can explain it ??????

Please do !

I now have a calm clear mind No more wheat or grains for me !

God bless and good health to you all

People who are over mythelated should not take Sam e they need folate instead. Sam e is good for people who are under mythelated.

Look up "nutrient power" dr William Walsh, it's a book, I think you would be interested.

Food is everything, along with nutrients. Eat good, feel Good.

I don't know anything about Sam-E. But, if it makes you hypo-manic you should stay away from it. If you have experienced psychosis, even hypo , there's always the chance of going full-blown.

I should try that sam-e stuff. I've heard of it, but decided not to try it because I read it's not a good idea to take it if you have bp. But I guess it won't hurt just to try.

Happy you're feeling better fingers!
