I had a therapy session and in it we spoke about giving emotions color. I picked blue for depression and pink for happiness.

I know blue all to well. It says I'm not good at anything, that i'm worthless, I'm a failure. The list goes on and on and most of the time I'm stuck there and there doesn't seem to be a way out.

Then I think of pink and how it says I am worthy of love and support and that there are good things that I do. I am good at something if I put my mind to it. I care for people and I want to be able to be compassionate with them.

When I'm blue I try to write a journal in all my pink feelings. It's really hard, but can help out in the long run. I am not a bad person, just have a chemical imbalance that can cause things to go askew.

None of us are bad people, some just don't lack the confidence to see it that way, or have no support.

Another color I've been writing about is orange which is my motivation. I'm slowly getting more motivated to do things, but it seems like it will be a bumpy road. I just need to get over things and practice more self love.

If y'all had to pick colors for moods what would they be and what would they tell you?

Remember the object is to be happy. Not balls to the wall happy all the time, but at least have a glimmer of hope.

Thanks! This post got me thinking about my favorite colors and how I would relate them to my moods

So I have 4 colours that I adore, and seems to fit perfectly with my most common moods and feelings.

Bright electric blue: Feeling confident, electrified, energized and sexy.

(I have a phone, wallet and purse in this exact shade) hehe took a while to match them up!

Bright pink / Fuchsia: Happy, talkative, bold, fun, impulsive.

Purple, but more like a berry / grape shade mix: In love, grandiose, worthy of love, empathic, wise and giving.

Black: Depressed, guarded, ready for combat.

So that's my favorite colors and the feelings they represent, makes so much sense when I think of them this way, with regards to when I wear or use what...

Thanks again Mo

Hey orange, be nice me. I want to be creative, but in the back of my head, blue is going, "you're disabled, you can't do anything." Pink is telling me even though i am disabled, doesn't mean I can't have a hobby and have to lay in bed all day like blue wants. I need my orange back and I'm not going to let blue win.

Hmmmm, I had to give this some thought.

True Happiness: the color of a tequila sunrise, light orange on bottom fading into an orangish-red on top
Contentment: soft purple
Calm: deep rose pink
Manic: like if a rainbow was to explode out at you
Anxious: yellow & green swirling together
Sad: Blue
Depressed: dark blue
In my Dark Place: pitch black
Angry: fire red
