I posted the other day(or it feels like the other day) about therapy animals & talked about our calico kitty Potter. We had 4 cats & 1 dog/cat total.....Our Maine Coon, Moon, was 14 years old. He's been sick lately....got even sicker over the past 2 days. He had diabetes. I took him to the emergency vet today & his glucose was over 700!!!! You read that right....700....his kidneys had already shut down because he was in ketoacidosis.....the rest of his body was shutting down. He'd qit eating altogether, was lethargic, etc. We had to euthanize him today because he was too sick to make it. I AM SO PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why did God take my buddy away?!?!

I'm feeling like throwing **** right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But........that won't bring him back. This just sucks!

I'm sorry for the sob story; I just wanted to share with people I feel can relate. Not asking for anything in particular, just venting.

Anyone know where I can buy a punching bag & about how much they cost? Maybe I need to invest in one.......Just a thought.

I am so, so sorry. I've had many fur-babies over the years and had to say good-bye to more of them than I ever wanted to. Losing them isn't "like" losing a family member, they ARE family members!

I know nothing I can say will bring Moon back. Just know that you have my sympathies. (((HUGS)))

Thank you so much!!! I still can't seem to get past the overwhelming anger I feel right now. My meds are sill not working, either, which is part of my issues now. I have some holes in the hallway wall to fix now & my knuckles on my right hand are torn up. I'm bleeding all over the keyboard. I should go bandage myself up. I feel like ****!

I'm really sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is. My cat Jack passed away a couple years ago, the thought that he's in heaven healthy now has given me peace although of course I still miss him like crazy
