I love being outside during a wintertime blizzard.
I can't take the summer heat and it really depresses and wears me down. |

My moods do not react to the weather. I wish it was that simple so I could plan for them.
I am not a fan of summer since it is so hot but it doesnt affect my mood. This year I will have no cooling and an outdoor job, so I am going to have to suck it up. |

I'm usually depressed in the winter. Thanksgiving & Christmas times are the worst, February is better, then the beginning of March always sucks for me. Mid April through June is usually my manic season then July though September is a mixed bag October is okay then November starts my depression again.
This last year was weird for me even... I was depressed all year until my recent bout with mania (In September which was very weird for me). We had so much rain & nasty weather through the spring & summer though, and I was battling a lot of physical medical issues so I think that triggered more depression for me this year). The sun finally came out late August/September & I went manic. So maybe I have SAD, as well? Never was diagnosed with it though. |

Another winter depressive here. I tend to become manic in the late spring and early summer, do OK till about January and then I crash. This year it's been a bit different, I never got the bad depression and was only a little hypomanic in the spring. Then again, I spent most of 2014 in depression so I'm glad to be where I am!

Even though I love Fall and Winter, I always get depressed. I can't control it. The past two years I have become manic during the summer and depressed in the Fall.

All seasonal shifts give me a shift as well. I think my worst time of year is always the August and September months. I love fall, though. Winter shift can also be a challenge, but whether it is or not is more random. Spring shift is better. I hate the heat of summer. I think it's unnecessary. Haha. But my shift is not as dramatic.

usually winter, unless I can get a lot of activity in. like if I am skiing every weekend I don't get depressed. but with two kids now that's not usually possible
as an aside, my last call to my pdoc scheduled me almost a month out, and his assistant said he gets crazy busy with every season change. so it's a real thing! __________________ dx BPII with mixed features/rapid cycling. currently on lamictal 200 mg/day for maintenance, and after a bout of postpartum depression recently am (hopefully temporarily) also on seroquel XR 50 mg/day, xanax as needed. |

I absolutely love fall. All of the colors cheer me up, the holidays and activities, as well as the perfect weather. I enjoy winter because I am a snuggly type of person and can make all of my favorite comfort foods. Spring to me is terrible because everything is muddy and dead looking. Summer is awful because it is way too hot for me to do anything. I sweat a lot more than the average person. Always have, always will and I hate the feeling. Blech!
Thank goodness it's fall now though. |

What affects me more than seasons is that dank time change they claim is for daylight savings time? Still the same amount of light, no savings just a sudden jump in time. It's not triggering or anything but it does affect me, it's like jet lag without a jet.

I am typically depressed around November and December I start sliding down right about this time of year which I already have begun. Then in January I start to shift upwards and by late winter/early spring I am manic. It is a cycle I started recognizing about a year ago.

winters and springs tend to bring me down.
autumn is iffy, not really anything. the heat from summers makes it easy for mania though. it exhausts me, which makes it easy to be excitable. |

Winter is the worst for me, unless it snows. The snow brightens my mood, but cold, dark days just bring me down.
Being outside in nice warm, sunny weather can help a lot. |
