I started on seroquel xr 300 mg/day in addition to lamictal about a week ago due to a bad mixed/depressive episode...I think I am going hypo, I have so much energy I am jittery and feel high...

has anyone else run into this? I am seeing my pdoc ASAP (am on his cancellation waiting list) to follow up on the change in meds but I thought this medicine was for controlling symptoms? am wondering if it will even out? I feel great right now! but obviously don't want to go to far "up" from being so down.

I had a paradoxical reaction to the same dose of Seroquel you're on, I ended up stopping it and got on Zyprexa instead

Seroquel makes me feel pretty good too. I wonder if it has some antidepressant qualities.

I honestly am not sure if I am going hypo or if I've just forgotten what normal feels like because I've been depressed for so long

I was feeling pretty jittery and high this morning but I drank a bunch of coffee. One of the things I have noticed since I'm coming out of depression is that caffeine affects me again. I used to drink practically a pot of coffee every morning and I was still exhausted. It was like it did nothing for me. Now I find myself feeling jittery off of one cup. Am going to give it a few more days and see how it plays out. I have a call into my pdoc as well.
