At how many mgs does it take for seroquel to stop acting as a sleeping pill, and start acting as a AP for BP? Is there an absolute number or is everyone different. I've been on and off of it for years, first as a sleeping pill at about 50mgs then it was increases over the years. I remember my pdoc increasing it to 300 and I couldn't sleep anymore and I had restless leg and the kicks all night. So that's when I stopped using it for awhile.

It varies by person. For me I remember it started really working around 300 mg. 8 years later it is no longer working well at all and I"m on 1200 mg (and was on 1500 mg a few months ago). I was lowered to 800 mg in August and wound up IP. Usually 300-600 mg is a normal dose. 800 is the top approved dose.

250mg. This spring my dosage was slowly reduced to zero (i was gaining weight). I ended up hospitalized with acute depression. They put me back on and i immediately responded. Inciidentally the put me on metformin to prevent more weight gain.
