I'd like to know what you're like when you're stable--maybe a general trait, maybe something that tends to show up in a pattern and surprise you when you're not expecting to be stable. For me, I often find myself singing around the house first when I haven't been well for a while, and then later see more certain traits of stability. What's yours?

I clean the house and walk the dog more often.
I answer text messages and even initiate social events. I devote more than a few minutes to reading a book or watching a TV show. I think about working again. I guess none of these really seem surprising, but to me they are because it's been a year and a half since I've been motivated to do anything. I like this question. I'll come back and edit if I think of more. |

I talk less seriously, and joke more often. I laugh more. And sometimes, when I'm lucky, the river of thoughts that go through my head quiet themselves and I can actually hear the world around me instead of living in my head.

Panic.
If I suddenly feel good for no reason I panic mainly because I rarely feel good, so when it does happen it's so unusual and foreign to me that I panic. |

I have found that I'm a lot more chill. My short temper has seemingly vanished, I'm [slightly] more sociable and not so standoffish.
Of course I also have very little motivation and little energy, but hey, at least I'm stable, right?
