I thought this was interesting:
A recent study examined BD in patients with and without ADHD.2 Patients were screened for both BD and ADHD, as well as for mood, anxiety, eating, impulse control, alcohol, and substance use disorders. Approximately 20% of adults with BD also had ADHD. Patients with BD and ADHD had higher rates of current mixed episodes, lower rates of mania, greater impairment overall, and higher levels of depression. Patients with BD and ADHD also had lower remission rates and higher rates of substance use disorders, and they reported greater levels of familial maladjustment than adults with BP alone. - See more at: What Are Common Comorbidities in ADHD? | Psychiatric Times Anyone else blessed with both? |

Nope, but blessed with OCD which is comorbid with BP. I'm very interested in when they unlock the genetics of all of these comorbid illnesses with BP and the link they find.

That would be interesting. It will probably be linked to the use of DDT or some other chemical like that. Or maybe bipolar is part of the next stage of evolution.

One pdoc told me that if you can drink a half a pot of coffee and go to sleep then that is a good indicator you have ADHD. I did coke when I was younger and couldn't get a high from it.

My son has ADHD and some mood/behavior issues (which I feel may get him a bipolar dx later in life, unforunately).

It's possible for bipolar to co-occur with ADHD. And ADHD may be misdiagnosed as bipolar disorder especially in children.
