in the past i believe that i had a manic episode after being deeply depressed, it cleared up with antipsyhotics and was well exept from severe anxiety, this was in january and fast forward to now i went to the doctors for something to help he put me on 50mg of sertraline and 2 2mg diazepam a day.

i have been taking both of these for 5 days and i feel like i am on cocaine, i have a lot more energy, i cant sleep for more than 2 hours a night, i havnt been eating exept maybee a sausage roll or half a sandwhich, i have immense concentration to reserch things which often leads to a completely diffents subject.

i also habe a feeling like im gonna burst out in extreme exitement and happiness and feel it just the diazepam supressing them. unfortunatelt run out of then tommorow

Could the pills cause this

The SSRI (AD) causes hypomania/mania in bipolar affected persons, so yes it can. Welbutring did that to me, so after 2 years, I quit the Welbutrin, got put on stabilizers, and was able to get back to base.

I'd at least quit taking the sertraline.

Yeah. I agree. It's probably the sertraline.

It's the Sertrline, i would say. I take it with no problems with a mood stabilizer.....but it doesn't go well for many bipolar people.

I actually take both Setraline and Wellbutrin but with Lamictal and Geodon.

I was originally misdiagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder by my primary dr and was given rounds of Prozac, Sertraline, Effexor etc. It sent me into a massively scary six month psychotic mixed episode.
