Hello, I'm 40 years old, newly diagnosed with Bipolar II. My life is spinning out of control, and I'm trying to get things back on track. I'm currently on Latuda 40mg, Lamictal 25mg, Paxil 20mg. I've been on Paxil for over 10 years and am unable to get off of it (tried numerous times with terrible results). Going up to Latuda 40mg causes me to feel restless, my mind cannot 'sit still', and I feel more annoyed than ever. This is the reason I stopped the first time, stopped seeing pdoc and got worse. Looking at the common side effects, these are common. My pdoc said that the side effects will subside with time. Anyone else on Latuda and experienced this? If so, did it subside?

I went through all kind of stuff like that when I started Latuda. I felt good hypo at first, and then I just felt restless. Then I got super irritable. It went away after I was on it for about 3-4 weeks.
Thanks for this!

I enjoy Latuda. Took 5 weeks to level off for me.

I had the worst experience of my life on Latuda. Trying not to scare you. My body would not metabolize it right, even at the lowest dose. I would have panic attacks all day long, paranoia and akathasia. It completely scrambled my brain, and I had long term effects for about six months after I stopped. I missed 2 1/2 months of work. I should've been in the hospital looking back.
