Usually when I'm on PC I'm doing ok, and try to support people and welcome new members. But this week has been rough. On Monday one of our cats died suddenly and unexpectedly. To make it even harder the other one has congestive heart failure, and won't be with us much longer. On top of that yesterday we got the word that the owner of the condo we rent is putting it up for sale, so we'll probably have to move again, and I am getting too old for this moving nonsense. They say bad news comes in threes, so I hope I've had my three. I'm trying to deal with this in a healthy way, but I could sure use some support, and this forum is nothing if not supportive.

Sorry to hear that. Life is all changes and those can't always be good. Embrace it anyway and stay optimistic. Things will turn around.

Bless your heart! Your week sounds like mine! There has been 3 deaths of family members, another diagnosed with cancer, a lot of problems with arrangements because we found out it wasn't prearranged on one of them, and the one with cancer is fighting against going to the treatments! So I definitely feel for you! I think mine doesn't know how to stop at 3. When I get on a roll the his just seem to keep coming! But I hope everything works out for you soon!

I'm so sorry. Hopefully your kitty is around longer than you expect. Moving sucks, but you'll find a place that you love. Just be kind to yourself right now. Do something special, just for you.

I can actually say I know how you feel. I've lost a pet and it hurt like hell. I'll be thinking abt you. I had an aunt that had to move for the same reason. Her landlord was not paying the rent and the home was being foreclosed on. My aunt is disabled wheelchair bound and unable to walk. I know what it's like to need support post on here and it seem like no one really reaches back out at you. Feel free to message me direct anytime. I know you have a lot on your plate take a deep breath and start looking for a new place.

So sorry you have to go through this. I have 2 cats that both have serious health problems. Both are seniors (one is 20) and so I know that I may lose one or both of them at any time. I dread it so much.

And moving or the thought of moving is horrible.

I hope posting here helped a little.

I'm so sorry for all the issues you are facing.
Life can be rough.
I'm so sorry about your cats. I just lost my 17 yr old Kitty in July. You don't realize how important & beneficial they are to your mental health.
My thoughts & prayers are with you.

Wow. Thank you all for the responses. You gave me support, encouragement, and good feedback-- all things that I tell new members they can expect to receive here. Alone & confused, I'm sorry for your losses. I really appreciate your courage and openness in sharing. You really helped me put things in perspective. For all of you who have lost pets too, you are in my thoughts. We will start looking for a new place and find a better one. Thank you all again so much.

MountainBard,

I have been a member here for less than 48 hours and you have replied to at least two of my threads offering sympathy and welcome. You are already appreciated by me.

I am sorry for your cats. My sister's cat - my sister has 3 dogs and a cat that I love like my own - was attacked by a coyote yesterday and she is now having surgery and hanging in the hospital. Pets are so dear to us and it is very hard to lose them or see them suffer.

At the end of July my family and I were forced to leave our guesthouse because the owner wanted to put his house up for sale. We have been living in hotels since, looking for a new place, so I know how you feel. I hope that you will be able to find a new place quickly and you will want to be there for a long time so that you can be done with this moving crap.

Sorry about the cat and moving. We fellow pet owners have lost a lot of pets over the years.
It sucks.
