Lately I've noticed that my 2 yr old son has begun to stutter at the beginning of his sentences. I researched this online and found that his type of stuttering is somewhat normal at this age, and can be brought about by a fast talker who lives in the same house. I realized that the onset of his stuttering seemed to coincide with the onset of my recent (but mild) mania episode, in which my husband says I am talking too fast and too much. Could I really be the cause of this? I feel awful if I am. I am trying to be more aware of my speech and am slowing down my words when he's around, but sometimes I don't even realize when I'm talking fast. I was hoping someone else has had this same experience and could give me some advice. Thanks!

I could be way off the mark but a speech therapist maybe your answer. If nothing else you could ask them for advice.

I agree with Doonney...an expert can help...don't try to place blame...
