Hey everyone! On Monday afternoon I was taken to emergency as I was not in control. Problem was they had no beds so I went to stay with my parents. This morning I got admitted to a psych facility and will hopefully get the treatment I need. Been diagnosed as in a mixed episode. It is awful feeling like this and hard to stay safe as I'm so impulsive. On the plus side my immediate family and friends have been very supportive and this helps immensely. Still, when I feel so agitated and panicked it is hard to see any positives. Feeling really down too yet at times I get giddy and hyper. Confusing as I don't know what to expect at any given moment.

Did they give you a med change? Mixed episodes are hard.

No. I won't see the pdoc until tomorrow to sort out meds. Just saw the registrar on admission. I'm guessing I'm going back on Lithium. Not happy about that but it really works for me when suicidal and agitated. Thanks

I'm starting Lithium tonight. Until it kicks in I'm on Olazapine, Seoquel and Clonazepam to keep me safe. I'm really drugged right now. Still feel crap but a bit calmer at least. I am lucky to have a lot of support around me and my work are being great about me needing time off. Thanks again everyone for your support. Hopefully I will stabilise soon.

Thanks everyone!! I had my first dose of Lithium and woke up this morning hypomanic, euphoric, agitated and anxious. The change in mood is like a holiday. This also happened last time I was put on Lithium. Euphoric hypomanic for a few days then back in the hole for a few more weeks. I just hope the good mood stays around and the agitation goes. I feel god-like, expansive and special. Loving it.
