Due to some side effects from Prozac... like the killing of all sexual desire .... my pdoc has suggested Brintellix.

Has anyone tried this? It appears to be pretty new; my pharmacy had to order it in and my pdoc had a coupon for it as well.

Side effects listed for it seem to be lighter than usual, but I'd love to know if anyone here has heard of it. I'm in the United States, if that helps.

Im in canada here it is called trintellix. Sent me into bipolar rage. Im extremely sensitive to meds though so im likely not the best guide on the med.

Give the med time to work, watch for strange behaviour and report to pdoc if any unusual side effects appear.

Good luck.

I'm on it too. I've only been taking it consistently for about two weeks. No side effects but no relief from depression either. I won't be able to continue it in the new year due to my deductible. So it's kind of pointless for me to be on it. We'll see how it goes.

My insurance covered Brintellix (yay) and I'll be starting the drug after Christmas. I don't know what kind of copay I'll have after the new year, though. I'm glad to hear the sexual side effects aren't so great on it and will watch out for mood swings.

I tried it. It didn't help my depression at all. I hope you have better luck with it.
