Hello I just joined today. I was wondering if anyone has been on Depakote 250 mg and 60 mg Latuda and how you felt on it? I just started the Depakote today and Latuda last week. I can't talk to my husband about how I am feeling because he doesn't get whats going on in my head. Please Help. Thank you.

Sorry, I don't take Depakote, Latuda made me hypomanic and I had to stop.

I really just wanted to welcome you, you'll find great information and support.

I took depakote many years ago. I only remember it made me feel flat and apathetic. But I was also I teenager living in a group home.

Welcome to the boards. I too feel like I cannot discuss things with my husband because he jut doesn't understand. He's not bad, he tries to be supportive, but he jut doesn't get it. For example, I've been really irritable and *****y so I decided to go back to therapy and to my doctor. He said I don't need all that, I just need to "stop getting so angry". Yup because I love being a huge ***** all day every day lol.

You can share with us.

Hi. Welcome. My AA sponsor swears by Latuda. She said it's the best.

I haven't taken either one, but I wanted to welcome you to the group. Not having to talk to and understand what it is you are driving at is difficult for both parties. unfortunately, just about all my family try to sweep my illness under the carpet. I think it makes them uncomfortable when I bring it up. Basically it is hard to understand something you have never experienced. That is what makes these forums so great. We have all been there and can relate to what you are saying. So keep posting, we are all here for the support and encouragement.

I was on 750 mg depakote and 40 mg latuda in Dec, the latuda lifted my depression fairly quickly but I had an undiagnosed stomach infection at the same time and was unable to eat enough to keep from vomiting the meds. I had to go off the latuda.. 250mg depakote is a pretty low dose I think btw.

Welcome to the group! I take latuda and it is fairly new to me too. I am on 40 mg. It lifted my depression pretty quickly and I feel better. I do however feel kind of flat. What about yr experience with it? Also I wanted to say that it seems hard for our loved ones to understand. At least it seems that way to me. My fiance loves me so much and he supports me fully. Even with that it is hard for him to understand what it feels like for me. He just lets me know that it's ok if I need to take some rest or take some space if I need it to etc. He tries so hard but since it's hard for him to relate, I end up feeling kinda alone. Weird?

Welcome! I tried Latuda, but it made me too foggy to function. I've never taken Depakote. I am glad you found your way here!

Welcome! I'm a newbie but thought I'd say welcome anyway. I haven't tried those meds and frankly I'm afraid to do anything but Lithium. Anyway, welcome.
