So... I take Seroquel PRN for hypo and mania.

I slept 16 hrs and 24 mins after taking 300mg of this shiit. I'm still hypo and that is an EXCESSIVE amount of sleep. What the hell...

How much sleep do you guys get on Seroquel? The drowsiness is insane. It does this to me every time.

Maybe it's because I'm not used to it.

Seroquel is a heavy hitter for me. 300mg can put me out for 14 hours easy. 25mg does about 8 hours and less eating the entire fridge.

I take 700 mg and it knocks me out for a good 12-13 hours. That's why I'm taking Modafinil now. I'm down to 8-9 hours. Unfortunately the Modafinil might be making me hypo. :-/

I was on 200 mg. slept 5 hrs.
Then reduced to 100 mg plus 30 mg Temazepam.
I too ate everything in site. So now only on temazepam. Take 2-3 hrs before I want to fall asleep.
3-4 hrs. Then about an hour awake coming down from bad dreams. Go back to sleep 2-4 hrs.

I take 300-600mg a night and still get crappy sleep. Up about every hour tossing. If you're sleeping that long then clearly 300 is too high of a dose. But you might need it to get out of your state. I'd give it a few days to take effect.

Thanks guys.

Tonight I'll try cutting the dose into 1/4 pieces to see what 75mg does for me. I'll probably still sleep a lot, but not that much.

Rx, you're right that 300 is probably too high. Sorry you have trouble sleeping still.
Thanks for this!

I think..that is cool..that you are releasing yourself to sleep that much...I think that is way too much drug induced sleep...I want to sleep without it..I tried Seroquel and was very much awake cause i couldn't breathe out my nose.

That was torture..along with the bloodiness of a nose 2 days later..and I was awake on Seroquel..if I was sleeping.not breathing or a bloody nose would't matter.

if you are sleeping that much on it..then you just need to reduce it.
Thanks for this!

I take 400 mg and I sleep 12 hrs every night. My creativity has greatly diminished and I am having bouts of extreme irritability. So I went to pdoc today and he said it was because I was on too much Seroquel. So now I have been decreased down to 200 mg. as of tonight. Hope I sleep and hope I begin to paint again.

How is the Modafinil going? Is the hypo manageable or do you feel it slipping into mania?

When I was on 300mg I got between 8 and 9. But I was tired and grumpy and hungry all of the time.

Yeah, Abilify is a bit activating, but I've been taking it for a while. It does wonders for my depression... but mania? not so much

Not sure if I'm supposed to be taking Strattera or not. Never asked. It doesn't work anyways.

I took an Adderall today while i've already been hypo lol
Thanks for this!

I took it to improve my concentration so that I could get work done, but unfortunately it just made me more distractable and gave me worse racing thoughts. But on the upside, at least I'm in a good mood.
