Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

So glad for you! Makes me want to sign up for a shot. I'm allergic to both Abilify and Invega but at this point, whatever, give me a shot!

I hope so. I sent my pdoc an email tonight that I'll go to a higher acuity unit at a different hospital if that is easier. I am confused about this; she mentioned it but discarded it last time I saw her but then last week said she didn't want to put me on the high acuity unit and the hospital I usually go to. So I don't know if it is higher acuity than the other hospitals or if she was trying to be considerate of my desire to do this with staff that I know and who know me. I just hope it is soon although financially it's better to have it be Feb 1 thanks to how Medicaid works. I really don't care at this point. A few weeks ago I would have but now I feel like pile on the bills, just DO IT. Hopefully I'll hear from my pdoc soon. She thought she'd know last week and I never heard anything so they must not only be waiting to admit me until this dr. if back from vacation but they must be waiting to decide about it until then.

My hospital is generally amazing but it is awful to have someone leave a job at the end of October and not hire until the following July. Especially when it is for a unit like this that relies on stability as part of treatment and when the dr. who left is loved by all his patients. People on that unit either are there once and never are hospitalized again (usualy people with depression that gets away from them before they are medicated) or they are in and out over time. The dr. who left was the kind of dr that you could always tell the new people "he'll fix you" and know it was true.

Oh well. Someday.
