I've been posting in the depression forum, and until yesterday, thought I was just nuts.

I saw the psychiatrist yesterday, and she said "Bipolar type 2"

I can't get into to all my questions now, but I do want to mention that she perscribed ativan for me, and didn't tell me to wean off the Lexapro (20mg)

but gave me a Lamictal starter pack for when I wean my daughter (breastfeeding).

Has anyone here taken an antidepressant while and ativan? Did it help when you were hypomanic? (she said I'm hypomanic, not manic)

and, how has Lamictal worked for you? I noticed the starter pack goes up to 100 mg, but online last night I found information stating that it typically helps stabilize around 200 mg or up to 400 mg. But I think that was for Bipolar type 1.

I took them all, and did fine. Each person is different though, so just be aware of your system and what happens.

I wish you the very best,

Jan

Thanks January. I haven't taken an ativan yet, haven't needed one thankfully.
