I live in northern Virginia, we've gotten about 24" in the last 16 hours. Spent all morning shoveling out my driveway and apparently theres another foot still on the way.

Nope sorry. I'm in central Ohio. Storm shifted south and missed us completely! Kind of starting to wish we got maybe 3" or something so I could take my son sledding.

Man, I'd try to get whatever you can done. We may easily have 3.5 feet by tomorrow

Yeah I know. I'll probably end date up working from home this week. I'll try and get out this afternoon.

This has been a funny storm. I'm within a few hours of central OH and we have at least 3". My mom and I should go sledriding. We have sleds for my nieces but it never snows when they are here. My sister is only 2 hours from me and they have closer to a foot.

I went out at ten am to clear off the porch and it was up to my knees. Easily double that now. I dread shoveling out tomorrow. I can only hope school is closed Monday so I don't have an extra day to recover from all the physical activity. And I hope my neighbor decides to be nice and snow blow my sidewalk.

I'm in NJ btw.

So I finally went out there...
I could only make it to clear the steps in front of my house and the walkway leading to the driveway. I invited my mom over for the weekend, so both of our cars are in the front of the driveway, hopefully limiting how much shoveling that needs to be done. We'll find out tomorrow. I did put down some salt on the walkway and front steps. We'll see if that has any type of impact tomorrow. And I cleared the snow around my AC unit out in the backyard. Hopefully I sleep good tonight after all that work.

+2 today and only 2 cams of snow

I am in New Jersey right on Barnegat Bay.
We were evacuated because of the flooding.
The snow is really piling up.

We have 200+ tractor trailers and cars stranded near my farm and they are getting help from the national guard. We have ~ 2 feet of snow and all roads are now closed except for emergency traffic.

Nice, at least you made some sort of dent in it.

After shoveling this morning another 7-8 inches has plopped itself back on the driveway. They're saying the snow should be stopping within the next couple of hours, I certainly hope so!

I'm wondering what the chances are that I'll not have to go into work on Monday.... We got paid administrative leave on Friday afternoon which was pretty nice.

Also, amazingly my power still hasn't gone out yet. I'm hoping it stays that way...

From what I've seen on the news, DC and most of Arlington is totally shut down right now.

I even had to wear my work glasses that usually wear for yard work...that wind was brutal!
Luckily I work from home on Monday, so I don't have to worry about going out in it. I'm hoping they call for unscheduled telework on Tuesday and hopefully Wednesday...giving me the whole week to try and dig myself out lol.
I'm so happy my power didn't go out either! I don't what I would do. But I think power lines are buried over here.
On the news this morning they were talking about people getting out because of cabin fever. But it's only been 24 hours, I thought cabin fever was being given stuck in the house for a few days, not a few hours?!

Hahaha yeah I thought the same thing. News anchors talked about people going out to restaurants to stave off "cabin fever," I was like wtf dude it's been like 1 freaking day!

I dunno, I have cabin fever and I've only been stuck here since Friday night! I'm considering walking to the convenience store about a mile away because I'm so tired of being cooped up. According to my township's website my street won't be plowed until 4 pm tomorrow. So hopefully school will be closed bc I'm not risking getting stuck just so I can go to work. Not happening.

Yeah my neighborhood is supposed to be plowed by midnight tomorrow. There's no way I'm going to be able to get into work tomorrow morning.
