Well I'm going to be bouncing off the walls. The provigil just hasn't been cutting it, so I went to see my pdoc about it today. I am just so tired and spaced out all the time and my concentration is nil. Which is why I totally forgot about Bipolar chat last week. Sorry about that. He prescribed me 2 250mg Nuvigil a day. I was not expecting that. I'm good with one a day because that's what I had in the hospital. He prescribed 2 though cause it can interact with carbamazapine, making it less effective. So I'll play around with it, seeing what works the best.

New to treatment.....how does provigil help bpd? Doesn't it bring on manic episodes?
No matter how small, a positive change deserves to be celebrated! |

it doesn't help bipolar, just keeps me awake and functioning. It's a narcolepsy med. I take some heavy duty APs and I sleep a lot. Between the saphris and geodon, I can sleep 12-14 hrs a day. When provigil was working I'd sleep like a normal human being. lol. Hopefully nuvigil will work better.
