I feel so out of touch from my own body and this doesn't feel like reality. It feels as though I am at the back of my head and someone else is controlling my body. This is not pleasent and rather scary to me. I've had this many times before and if I'm walking I feel as though I am floating out of my body. It's as if nothing feels real but rather like a dream, or a nighmare.
Does this happen in both mania and depression? I'm curious because I feel that I might not be the only one that gets like this. Much love ![]() ![]()

Definitely sounds like it could be dissociative. There are quite a few articles I found that link depression with dissociative symptoms Dissociation Symptoms of Major Depression | LIVESTRONG.COM
Personally I've never had problems with dissociation except for when I was taking illicit substances back in the day.
