For what I tell myself is just a week I've laid in bed. But I know it's been longer. Missed calls and texts are filling up. People are leaving messages frustrated because nobody can get a hold of me. Yesterday was my brothers birthday. I completely ignored his texts and calls. I don't know why I'm doing this. But I do it all the time. And it's getting worse.

Have you seen a doctor? If not it might be a good time. When we are depressed it's hard to make ourselves communicate with others. I'm sorry you are having so much trouble and feeling so bad.

That's how my depressed cycles go, too. I shut every out I possibly can. I don't call, and I don't return calls. I don't email. I want to be swallowed up in a hole where all communication gets lost in a void. If I didn't live with others, I would never communicate with anyone at all. Sorry it's so hard right now.

I understand- I used to do that a lot pre-diagnosis, and I had no sense of how much time had passed. It's hellish when you try to get back in contact with people.
Definitely see your psychiatrist- it does get better.

I haven't seen my doctor in over a year. I stopped going when I thought I had a handle on things. I'm working on my insurance so I can go back in.
