Saw my pdoc today. Shard my fustration with hair loss. I started out with hair half way down my back...thought well it is heavy so cut to my shoulders, then my ears, now it's very short and still too much lass.

She said sometimes it's the generic version that causes the most loss and switching to brand name helps! Who knew? So first we decreased it to 150, then if it's still a problem we'll try and see if my insurance will accept paying for the brand name. Wish I'd said something sooner. At least she didn't try to blame it on my wearing hats like one dr did.

Oh wow! Thank goodness I haven't had this effect. But I have been losing weight on the generic brand of lamictal. Does it vary by generic brand? Because I can only take a specific generic brand of Trileptal so I don't feel sick.
