So I saw my psych nurse today finally. I'm gonna continue slowly weaning off zyprexa and slowly increase invega. My insurance wouldn't cover it so need to do a prior authorization. For sleep were gonna slowly increase trazadone till I'm at 600mgs. She's gonna take me off my AD at that point too bc the trazadone will act as my AD.

I really like this psych nurse so far. I like how she's taking her time with things.

Anybody on Invega? How's it working for you? Any side effects? Thanks.

Hi Rose. When I saw your post I googled Invega. They have their own website.

My mom has Parkinson's. So I'm very wary of drugs that can give you that side effect.

Are you already well tolerating this med?
Or will this be new for you?

A few posters here are on inVega and seem to really like it. I think there must be something good about the shots because my abilify shot has been a godsend and I have no side effects. I think it processes so different in the body that you get less bad effects
Good luck!!

Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand

I've been on it for coming up on two years. It's been working great for me since I started taking it in July 2014. I've had no mania or mixed episodes since then. Doesn't do anything for depression but can't win em all.

Thanks, I'm gonna be on the oral. The equivalent of 3 mgs of risperdal. I'm just hoping I don't intensely crave carbs like I do on risperdal. On risperdal I'll make potato soup, fresh bread, banana bread and it will be gone in like 2 days, lol.

Thanks for responding.
