Gave my husband all the money, I'm feeling super impulsive. I got into an argument with him because I wanted to get a tattoo all of a sudden. Feeling frustrated. Thought I was doing well.

It's good your husband has all the money. Do you have anything relaxing you can do?

I'm trying to watch a movie to calm me down, but my mind keeps wandering.

I usually clean when I'm feeling like you do. Listen to music and clean...
Thanks for this!

Great suggestion. My house could use a good cleaning, and the movie isn't working.

Man, I wish I could get some of that energy. My apt needs to be cleaned too, lol. But this coming week it's supposed to be sunny and in the high 50s. I'm hoping that gives me a lift.

Yeah listen to some upbeat music and get to scrubbin', lol.

Didnt you recently flush all your meds? if so this impulsive stuff is a likely result.. Good thinking to give your husband the money.

Hope things settle for you soon.

I'm starting to regret it now. I'm thinking about going to pick up what I have at the pharmacy tomorrow. I always do this. I start to feel better so I quit the meds. Then I'm right back where I started. You think I'd learn.

Yeah I think you should pick them up. But if you're feeling zombiefied by a med I would look into another one. Imo it means it's not the right one for you....

The Depakote and Zyprexa for sure make me feel like a zombie, gain weight, and lose my period, but he won't prescribe Lithium without an AP. Maybe I could just pick up the Lithium and forget the Depakote and Zyprexa? The meds I really want he won't prescribe.

Are you sure it's both of them? Do you have problems with paranoia? Have you ever been psychotic?

It was hard for me to function on just the Zyprexa. The Depakote was added because I was still having troubles while on the Zyprexa and Lithium, and things became worse. I have a 5 month old and I could barely take care of her. I'd be willing to keep the Lithium, and try Loxitane with it, but he's just so against a "dinosaur" medication. I definitely suffer from paranoia and delusions. I've never had a full blown psychotic episode.

Huh, could you maybe find a new pdoc? For now stay on the lithium?

I actually just got back from the pharmacy. I picked up the Lithium and I'm going to stick to that while I find a new pdoc. After talking with my husband we agreed that I should at least be on the Lithium.

Sounds like a good idea. I just hope you don't get rebound paranoia. I tried going off zyprexa 15 mgs really fast and ended up feeling really paranoid and scared. I'm now back on 10 and once I start the invega I'm gonna go down to 7.5 for a month then increase invega then 5 for a month etc. But zyprexa has really helped me. I don't feel numbed out on it or anything. I'm going off it bc of weight gain. The only med that gives me that numbed out feeling is seroquel.

Anyway, I hope you'll be ok. Hugs
Thanks for this!

How long were you on Zyprexa? I hope that doesn't happen to me. So far, so good and it's almost been a week off.

Oh you'll be ok. I've been on zyprexa almost a year. You would be feeling the paranoia by now I'd imagine....

I sure hope so. I'm going to try to finish my entire Lithium bottle. I never make it to the end of a bottle. I always end up quitting. I'm so tired of quitting. Just for once I want to know what it's like to reap the full benefits of a medication.

Yeah give it a chance. I don't understand why your pdoc put you on such a powerful ap. I was put on zyprexa bc nothing would put me to sleep and that doc just loves zyprexa. I just wonder why...

I hope you can find a pdoc you feel works better with you so you can get on a stable treatment protocol. With children, you really owe them whatever it takes to reach as much stability as possible. Do you see a therapist also? I found therapy just as important to my stability than medications, actually probably more important in the long-run.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, I didn't try anything else first. Just straight to Zyprexa.
