I was expecting a large group, It was small. Like 10 people.
The moderator said no politics or religion. The theme was boundries.
Of course, a guy couldn't stop talking about the bible.
Another about homosexuals. A lady, about how she's against marihuana.
Another lady about her fears that a tornado can topple her building.
My kind of crowd!!!!!.
Me, to be in tune with group, talked about my lost mania, and missing it.
Finally, a young guy, who understood, talked about boundries.
All in all, it was a good experience. And got me out of the house.

That's awesome! Was it one of the peer to peer classes? I've been meaning to go to one for a year or 2 and am signed up for one starting in about 2 weeks that I swear I'm gonna stick to this time. :P

This was a no thrills regular meeting that you just walk in.
It is unreal how healing it is when you talk to someone else about your problems. Not that I remember what I said.
By all means, go to the meeting!.

Mine is NAMI DBSA so it's particularly suited to Bipolar People.
When I'm stateside I go every week.

Yes. Sometimes it's my only reason to shower, dress and get out there.
A couple of months back someone did do a survey on how often people shower. Pretty amusing!!

Hi Ocean,

There were all kinds of people in this meeting.
Some really screwed up. Carrying the scars of the sickness from head to toes.
I truly feel for them. I think I'm in better shape than those poor souls.

The shower thread crossed my mind. I went 4 days without one.
Took one and shaved for the meeting. Today I'm gonna pass.
I 'look' clean, even if I'm not. I hafta go to the Pdoc in a while.
Let see how it goes, since I'm not following her instructions.
