Hi,
I am new on this site. I took 2 quizzes on this site about bipolar and both suggest that I am nothing like bipolar. 3 years ago I got admitted to mental hospital just because I swallowed a lot of pills and was depressed. So they said I might be bipolar. Then when I was out, I saw my psychiatrist and he said I possibly might have it but didn't say 100 percent sure. I am not crazy or do crazy things and am a pretty laid back but fun person to be around. Our these quizzes accurate or do you have any suggestions on how I can get a true answer?

Get a full psych evaluation . I don't do crazy things. I just get really angry and hyper. Now me I start believing things that aren't true like everyone hates me, my husband is cheating on me, things that could be true but aren't true in my case.

I agree with Miguel'smom. Get a full evaluation. That's what I did.

I do think something is wonky with the online test, though. I did it for grins and giggles...

Hi and welcome!. Is there someone else that can take the test about you?. We really are not how we think we are, but how others perceive we are.
In my case, my wife took the test about me. We discussed it, and yeah, I'm crazy.

If your psychiatrist can't tell you for sure, you might want to get a second opinion to get a full evaluation. I suspect that if they "weren't sure" you probably aren't bipolar, because the symptoms are usually pretty clear. Have you ever had times where your mood was really elevated, like you felt like your thoughts were racing and you felt really excited/elated or really angry for no reason? That's mania, and if you've never experienced the manic (or hypomanic) side of bipolar, you probably aren't bipolar.
Thanks for this!
